Kirby Thibeault was born into a paternal lineage of musicians. His father, an entrepreneur, played lead guitar and sang in a band throughout his working life in Calgary, Alberta, Canada. Some of Kirby's aunts were quite musical, as they, too, sang throughout their lives.

Kirby sees himself as a lifelong learner, having completed two degrees at the University of Calgary, including a master's in Financial Economics. Kirby has spent much of his working life as an entrepreneur, having worked in private and public markets for decades as a private researcher, writer, market strategist, former Investment Advisor, private investment fund manager, and trader of stocks and options in financial markets. He also taught the Thai martial art "Muaythai" at the City of Calgary for a decade. He ran his own club in association with Bangkok's Muaythai Institute, from 2008 to 2020, where he completed five levels of certification for instruction.

Moreover, since the 1990s, he has also written inspirational poems, including poetic gifts and books. He has now added songwriting to expand his message and thoughts to the global community.
 
Since the 1990s, Kirby has studied many religions, spirituality, and philosophy, which has led to considerable knowledge and wisdom, which is reflected in his songwriting and message to the global community.

As a lifelong learner and music lover, Kirby continues to study music theory and the acoustic guitar and is considering vocal lessons in the summer of 2025...
